THE FINAL HIKE
Don’t weep for me when I have gone;
Please don’t shed the tears.
I finally overcame Life’s troubles,
Escaped Life’s passing fears.
Don’t weep for me when I have gone;
Please don’t shed the tears.
I finally overcame Life’s troubles,
Escaped Life’s passing fears.
I’ll be hiking different trails then,
My search still going on;
Taking with me a few earthly things
Which still I’ll hold so dear.
My pad, my pack,
My staff, some ale;
For I’ll have left, perhaps,
To write this Universe’s tale.
