FOUL WEATHER FLYING

A day full of flying
In stormy weather.
Vegas to L.A.
Then back to Vegas once more.

I layover two hours
Then to Portland I’ll travel
I hope for smooth air
Before my nerves unravel.

This storm system’s raged
Up and down the West Coast
To hear it’s moved East
Is what I hope for the most.

Been meeting with folks
Who’ve money to invest
Now that business is over
I just want to rest.

But how can you rest on these flying machines?
And in this bouncy air it seems,
A faster mode of land travel
Would fullfill all of my dreams.
